I just finished watching the move "
Coco Chanel". It's a biopic about the legendary woman who changed everything in fashion. I'm still half sobbing since the movie depicted a lot of her real life struggles and really touched me. The love of her life died on the way to meet her and all that was left of him was the white scarf that she had made for him. Picture: long white scarf blowing in the trees beyond the crash. It was odd timing that this movie was on t.v, considering the fact that there are two movies coming out depicting Coco this year. One is "
Coco Avant Chanel" starring Audrey Tautou and the other is "
Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky", starring Anna Mouglalis as Chanel. I was planning on blogging about these movies anyway but after watching this movie I felt even more compelled. In "Coco Chanel", Shirley Mclain played Coco when she was older but the woman who portrayed Chanel when she was young was astounding. Unknown actress Barbora Bobulova captured Chanel's beauty and proud personality. I am interested to see how well these two new women portray the iconic Coco Chanel. Both movies are completely different and are in two completely different times in her life but both have gotten good reviews and I am extremely looking forward to seeing them both.
